Pill-Sized sensor aims to spot hidden stomach bleeds

NCT ID NCT05415124

Summary

This study tested a new swallowable capsule called the HemoPill acute. It has a sensor designed to detect blood in the stomach and upper digestive tract. Researchers gave the capsule to 15 patients who were already scheduled for a standard camera test (endoscopy) due to suspected bleeding. The goal was to see if the capsule's readings matched what doctors saw during the camera procedure.
