Pill-Sized camera could revolutionize esophagus screening
NCT ID NCT02422433
Summary
This study is testing a small, swallowable camera capsule that takes detailed pictures of the esophagus to help doctors better identify and mark areas of Barrett's Esophagus. Participants will swallow the capsule while awake, then undergo their standard endoscopy procedure. Researchers will compare the capsule's images with results from traditional endoscopy and tissue biopsies to see how well the capsule works.
