Pill-Sized camera could replace uncomfortable colonoscopies for High-Risk patients
NCT ID NCT07445828
Summary
This study is testing a swallowable camera capsule as a more comfortable way to screen for colon cancer in people with Lynch syndrome, a genetic condition that greatly increases cancer risk. About 78 participants will try both the new capsule method and a standard colonoscopy on the same day to see if the pill camera works as well. The goal is to find a less invasive screening option that people are more likely to stick with for their required lifelong monitoring.
