NCT ID NCT06727318
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 192 adults with septic shock in the ICU to see if a simple bedside test (capillary refill time) could predict outcomes as well as a standard blood test (lactate level). Researchers checked both measures every 6 hours for the first day and tracked how patients progressed. The goal was to find which method better forecasts recovery or risk of death within 28 days.
