Scientists test how daily cannabis changes pain response and addiction risk
NCT ID NCT05563948
Summary
This study aims to understand how repeated daily use of cannabis with different THC and CBD ratios affects pain sensitivity, addiction potential, and body chemistry. Researchers will enroll 100 regular cannabis users who will stay in a controlled setting for 15 days while receiving different cannabis formulations. The study measures pain responses, addiction-related effects, and chemical changes in the body to better understand the consequences of sustained cannabis use for pain management.
