VA launches major study on cannabis for Veterans' nerve pain

Summary
This study tests whether cannabis compounds (THC, CBD, or both) can reduce chronic nerve pain better than a placebo. It involves 320 Veterans with persistent nerve pain and allodynia (pain from light touch). Participants will take one of four treatments for 6 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in pain levels and pain quality.
