Candy lollipop could replace uncomfortable strep throat swabs for kids
NCT ID NCT05175196
Summary
This study is testing a new, candy-like lollipop device designed to make strep throat testing easier and more comfortable for children. Kids aged 5-17 who test positive for strep will try the new 'CandyCollect' lollipop and provide saliva samples. Researchers will compare the lollipop's accuracy to the standard throat swab test and ask kids and parents which method they prefer.
