Scientists investigate why common antifungal drugs are failing against dangerous blood infections
NCT ID NCT07422194
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some Candida bloodstream infections are becoming resistant to common antifungal medications. Researchers planned to analyze infection patterns before and during the COVID-19 pandemic to see if hospital changes affected these dangerous infections. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
