Researchers test new way to track cancer treatment effectiveness

NCT ID NCT03963518

Summary

This study investigated whether measuring 'time until next treatment or death' is a good way to track how well cancer treatments work, compared to the traditional measure of overall survival. Researchers looked at 631 patients with advanced melanoma who were receiving immunotherapy drugs. The goal was to determine if this newer measurement method could provide meaningful information about treatment effectiveness more quickly.
