Hopeful new combo tested for Tough-to-Treat cancers

NCT ID NCT03711058

Summary

This study tested whether combining two drugs—copanlisib and nivolumab—could help control advanced cancers that had stopped responding to standard treatments. It focused on a specific type of colorectal cancer (called MSS) that is often resistant to immunotherapy. The main goals were to find a safe dose and see if the combination could shrink tumors or stop them from growing for at least six months.
