Firefighters face higher cancer risk: new study tests early detection tools

NCT ID NCT06931561

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to screen firefighters for cancer early, as their job puts them at higher risk. It will test three different screening tools—whole-body MRI, whole-body ultrasound, and a special blood test—on 800 active firefighters. The goal is to see how well each method works, what follow-up care is needed, and to help design future health programs for this high-risk group.
