Summary
This study tested a telephone-based exercise counseling program to help inactive adults in rural Alabama become more physically active. 245 participants were randomly assigned to the program or a waitlist. The goal was to see if the program could increase moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, which can help prevent cancer and other diseases.
