Cancer pain relief: can we stop an extra pill?

NCT ID NCT05051735

Summary

This study tested whether people with moderate to severe cancer pain could safely stop taking paracetamol (acetaminophen) while continuing their strong opioid painkillers like morphine. Researchers wanted to see if pain control remained just as good without the extra pills, which can be a daily burden. The trial involved 204 adults with advanced cancer who were already taking both medications regularly.
