First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a painkiller called hydromorphone can safely relieve moderate to severe cancer pain in elderly patients (65+) who also have kidney problems. Researchers will compare these patients to those with normal kidney function to see how well the drug works and how it affects kidney health. Participants will receive the drug for 4 weeks, with regular check-ups to monitor pain, side effects, and kidney function.
