New scan aims to spy on Cancer-Fighting immune cells after radiation

NCT ID NCT05371132

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can detect changes in the body's cancer-fighting immune cells after radiation therapy. It will enroll about 10 adults with metastatic solid tumors or lymphoma who are scheduled to receive a precise form of radiation. The main goal is to learn if the scan can reliably show if and how radiation therapy recruits these immune cells to the tumor area.
