New program aims to close dangerous gap in cancer genetic testing
NCT ID NCT07053813
Summary
This study tests two different approaches to help people who have inherited cancer risk genes get the recommended screenings and preventive surgeries after genetic testing. Researchers will compare a simple web-based resource program and a more personal outreach program with a care manager against usual care. The goal is to find better ways to ensure people follow through with cancer prevention plans after learning they have high genetic risk.
