Summary
This study tested whether a financial counseling program could help people with cancer manage the high costs of treatment. Researchers enrolled 371 recently diagnosed patients to see if getting help with medical bills and budgeting reduced financial stress and improved their quality of life. The goal was to see if early financial support could prevent debt and worry related to cancer care.
