Scientists test Double-Punch cancer drug combo
NCT ID NCT02215720
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether combining two cancer drugs (temsirolimus and cetuximab) is safe for patients with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard treatments. The research involved 45 adults and aimed to see if attacking cancer through two different biological pathways simultaneously might be more effective than targeting just one. The main goal was to determine safe dosage levels and identify side effects before testing effectiveness in later studies.
