Summary

Researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin run an observational registry for adults who receive care for a cancer-related condition. The registry collects medical data and biospecimens, both from past records and from samples given during the study. The goal is to study how genomic mutations in tumors relate to the use of precision therapies, which are drugs targeted at specific mutations.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If the registry links tumor genetics to treatment choices, it could help doctors pick targeted drugs that fit each patient's cancer.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry, not a treatment trial, so it cannot prove that any therapy works. Results depend on data quality and may not apply to patients outside this health system.
