Scientists harvest immune cells in hunt for future cancer cures
NCT ID NCT00571389
Summary
This study is collecting blood samples from adults with solid tumors and healthy volunteers, including some with COVID-19. The goal is to gather immune and tumor cells to develop better lab devices for growing and studying these cells. Researchers will test if specific immune cells can be selected and trained in the lab to fight a patient's own cancer cells. This is a research study to build tools for future treatments, not a treatment trial itself.
