Summary
This study is testing a new way to help teenagers and young adults with serious cancer, and their parents, have better conversations with their doctors about the future. It involves a 'communication preferences companion' who helps families figure out how they want to discuss prognosis and quality of life. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and helpful for patients, families, and doctors.
