Phone coaching aims to ease tough cancer care conversations
NCT ID NCT07141407
Summary
This study is testing a phone-based coaching program called 'Talking About Cancer' to help patients with advanced cancer and their support person plan for future medical care. The goal is to see if these coaching sessions make it easier to have important conversations about treatment goals and end-of-life wishes, and to complete legal documents like living wills. Researchers will compare the coaching program to simply giving patients an informational brochure.
