First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study is testing an educational program called A-PACT, which uses trained health coaches to help people with cancer have better conversations with their doctors about their treatment goals and end-of-life wishes. Over 1,000 patients will be randomly assigned to either receive this coaching alongside their usual care or to receive usual care alone. The main goal is to see if the program helps reduce unplanned trips to the hospital and improves how patients feel about their care.
