NCT ID NCT06038526

Summary

This study is testing whether a drug called canakinumab can help prevent lung cancer in former heavy smokers. Researchers are giving the drug to 41 participants to see if it reduces inflammation in the lungs, which is linked to cancer development. The main goal is to see if blocking a specific inflammatory protein changes biological markers in samples taken from the nose, mouth, and blood.
