Can ozempic and mounjaro turn back your biological clock?
NCT ID NCT07293325
Summary
This study is investigating whether popular weight-loss medications like semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) can slow down or reverse accelerated aging at the genetic level in adults with obesity. Researchers will enroll 66 adults with obesity and measure changes in their 'biological age' using a special DNA test over 24 weeks of treatment. The goal is to understand if these medications do more than just help with weight loss by potentially affecting the aging process itself.
