First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a therapy dog to a group behavioral program helps children with autism spectrum disorder manage emotional outbursts more effectively. About 240 children will take part, and researchers will track changes in emotional reactivity and engagement. The goal is to see if the dog helps kids learn and stay calm faster than the standard program alone.
