Can sparkling water break Teens' sugar habit?

Summary

This study is testing whether replacing sugary sodas with unsweetened, flavored sparkling water can help teens who love sweet drinks cut down on added sugar and improve their health. Researchers will work with 63 Black/African American and Latine adolescents who have obesity and a strong preference for sweet tastes. Over 8 weeks, they'll compare three different drink-swapping strategies to see which one best reduces sugar cravings and improves diet quality and health markers.
