NCT ID NCT04190953

First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether orthodontic treatment with twin block and hyrax devices can improve breathing in children aged 8-14 who have a small lower jaw and a narrow upper jaw. Researchers will measure changes in airway size and airflow using 3D scans and models. The goal is to understand how jaw realignment might affect breathing, but this is an observational study, not a treatment trial.
