Danish trial asks: can patients quit pricey polyp drugs for good?
NCT ID NCT07268313
Summary
This study is testing whether people with severe nasal polyps who have been symptom-free for at least a year while taking biologic drugs (Nucala or Dupixent) can safely stop taking them. Researchers will randomly assign 66 patients to either continue their medication or stop it, then monitor them for a year to see if symptoms return. The goal is to see how many people can remain symptom-free without ongoing treatment.
