First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested a non-invasive treatment called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for people with chronic, severe tinnitus (ringing in the ears). 64 adults received either real or fake magnetic pulses to see if it could reduce the loudness of their tinnitus and improve their quality of life. The goal was to find the safest and most effective dose and see how long any benefits might last.
