Leukemia drug holiday: can patients stop imatinib without relapse?
NCT ID NCT01343173
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) who had been in complete remission for at least two years could stop taking imatinib without the cancer coming back. Researchers followed 220 adults to see how many stayed in remission and what factors predicted a relapse. The goal was to identify who might safely stop treatment and who needs to continue or switch therapies.
