Can a family Member's guess replace a Doctor's mobility test?

NCT ID NCT03032341

Summary

This study aimed to find out if a family member or caregiver could reliably assess an older adult's ability to move around (mobility) on their behalf. Researchers had 60 older patients and their caregivers take a short video-based test where they watched clips of activities like walking or climbing stairs and estimated if the patient could do them. The goal was to see if this caregiver assessment could be used in medical situations where the patient themselves cannot be tested.
