Leukemia patients may get a chemo holiday in new trial

Summary
This study looks at whether adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) whose cancer is in remission after a year of treatment can stop their chemotherapy (azacitidine or decitabine plus venetoclax) without the leukemia coming back. About 37 participants will be followed for 18 months to see how many stay cancer-free. The goal is to reduce treatment side effects while keeping the disease under control.
