Bladder pill trial aims to turn fat into a Sugar-Burning furnace
NCT ID NCT04666636
Summary
This study is testing if a drug called mirabegron, currently used for overactive bladder, can help people with prediabetes. Researchers want to see if the drug can activate special 'beige' fat in the body to improve how it handles sugar and insulin. The trial will enroll 65 adults with prediabetes to compare the drug's effects against a placebo.
