Can talking therapy ease the trauma of an ovarian cancer diagnosis?
NCT ID NCT06459271
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of supportive talk therapy, called CALM, is practical and helpful for people dealing with the emotional stress of a new or returning advanced ovarian cancer diagnosis. It will involve about 50 participants who will answer questionnaires and may be offered 3 to 6 therapy sessions. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce traumatic stress and improve quality of life during a difficult time.
