Could a simple calcium shot save mothers from dangerous bleeding?

Summary
This study is testing whether a single dose of calcium gluconate given through an IV can safely reduce blood loss during cesarean delivery for pregnant patients at high risk for serious bleeding. It will involve 140 participants who will be randomly assigned to receive either the calcium injection or a placebo (saltwater) injection. The main goal is to see if the calcium helps the uterus contract better after delivery to prevent excessive bleeding.
