Summary
This study tested whether adding magnesium or nimodipine (drugs normally used for heart conditions) to standard treatment could help people who intentionally poisoned themselves with certain insecticides. Over 1700 adults took part. The goal was to see if these extra drugs reduced deaths before leaving the hospital.
