Vitamin d gel tested to speed up braces treatment

NCT ID NCT07200349

Summary

This study is testing if applying a form of vitamin D (calcitriol) directly to the gums can help teeth move faster during orthodontic treatment with braces. It will involve 22 people who need to have teeth pulled and then have their canine teeth moved back. In a 'split-mouth' design, one side of the mouth gets the vitamin D gel, while the other side does not, to compare the results.
