New hope for hair loss: vitamin d cream vs steroid shots

Summary

This study tests whether a vitamin D-based cream (calcipotriol) works as well as steroid injections for regrowing hair in people with patchy alopecia areata. Sixty adults with less than half their scalp affected will use one of the two treatments for 12 weeks. The goal is to see which option is more effective and safer for managing this autoimmune hair loss condition.
