New PET scan tracer could spot Hard-to-Find cancers
NCT ID NCT06735560
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests a new radioactive tracer called 89Zr-TLX250 to see if it can better detect liver cancer, bile duct cancer, and certain neuroendocrine tumors on PET-CT scans. The tracer targets a protein (CAIX) found on these cancer cells. Researchers will compare the number and location of tumors seen with this new scan to standard imaging. The study involves 60 adults and is currently recruiting.
