Caffeine jolt may speed Kids' recovery from MRI sedation

NCT ID NCT06538584

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving caffeine to children after sedation for an MRI scan can help them wake up and recover faster. About 100 children aged 3 to 12 will receive either caffeine or a placebo shortly after their MRI. The goal is to see if caffeine reduces the time it takes for them to be ready for discharge, improving their experience and hospital efficiency.
