NCT ID NCT07262060

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving extra caffeine to preterm babies (born before 30 weeks) can improve kidney oxygen levels and reduce kidney injury. About 114 babies will receive either a one-time extra dose of caffeine or a placebo, while doctors monitor kidney and brain health. The goal is to find a safe way to protect kidneys in these fragile newborns.
