Extra caffeine could speed preemie recovery, get babies home faster

NCT ID NCT06327152

Summary

This study is testing if giving caffeine to very premature babies for a few extra weeks helps them learn to feed by mouth faster. It involves 80 infants who are already stable enough to stop caffeine. Researchers will compare how quickly babies in two groups reach full feeding and are ready to leave the hospital.
