First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving caffeine can help children wake up more quickly after being sedated for an MRI scan. The sedative used, dexmedetomidine, is safe but can make kids sleepy for a long time. The trial will involve 100 children aged 3 to 12 and measure how fast they recover and are ready to go home.
