Scientists launch major hunt for clues in rare genetic dementia

NCT ID NCT05677880

Summary

This study aims to understand how CADASIL, a genetic form of vascular dementia, starts and changes over time. Researchers will follow 575 people with a family history of CADASIL for up to 5 years, tracking their brain health, thinking skills, and daily function. The goal is to identify the earliest signs of the disease to help guide future treatments.
