New combo therapy shows promise for rare gut tumors
NCT ID NCT05249114
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-phase study tests a new two-drug combination for people with advanced neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) that have stopped responding to standard treatments. The drugs are cabozantinib (a targeted therapy pill) and Lu-177 DOTATATE (a radioactive treatment that seeks out tumor cells). The main goal is to find the safest dose of cabozantinib when given with the standard dose of Lu-177 DOTATATE. Only 6 participants were enrolled, and the study is no longer recruiting.
