New drug tested to fight spreading uterine cancer

NCT ID NCT01935934

Summary

This study tested whether the drug cabozantinib could help control advanced endometrial cancer that had returned or spread. It involved 102 women whose cancer had progressed after prior chemotherapy. The drug works by trying to cut off the tumor's blood supply and block signals that help it grow.
