Lupus patients get custom immune cells in bold new trial

Summary
This study tests a new treatment called CABA-201 for people with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), including those with kidney inflammation (lupus nephritis). The treatment uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to target and destroy harmful B cells that drive the disease. The main goal is to check safety, with secondary goals of measuring how well it works and how long effects last. About 28 adults aged 18-65 with confirmed SLE are being enrolled.
