First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study compares two types of spinal anesthesia for women having planned C-sections. One group gets the standard drug (bupivacaine) alone, the other gets it with an added sedative (dexmetomidine). The goal is to see if the combination provides faster recovery and better pain control. About 300 full-term pregnant women aged 20-35 will take part.
