Could more frequent testing stop premature births?

NCT ID NCT05278130

Summary

This study aimed to see if checking pregnant women more often for a common vaginal infection called bacterial vaginosis (BV) could help prevent early delivery. It focused on women with a history of preterm birth who are at higher risk. The idea was that finding and treating BV quickly, even without symptoms, might reduce inflammation that can trigger early labor.
